2jz-ge obd1 to 2jz-ge obd2 swap alternator question.
ok so I have a 94 sc300 which was NA-T, I came across a good deal on a Porsche so I sold my motor. I also have a stock 97 sc300 which I'm in the process of pulling the motor from the 97 and putting it into my 94.
My problem is that on the 94 harness, the alternator plug is on the engine harness, and on the 97 the ecu plug is on the body harness.
so now the motor is already in the 94 and there is no alternator plug.
I'm running the 97 ecu and i'm wondering how I can make this work, I thought about just pulling out the body harness and switching it but a lot of the plugs are different by the hardlines for the brakes and i have no idea how long that harness is and what's all in it.
Any ideas?

use the links in post 8 im in the middle of doing a 95 engine into a 93 body and came into the same problem all the plugs where diffferent and my 95 didnt have traction control but the 93 did...anyways your best bet is to use the 94 harness and convert whatever plugs you need to make it work... like my 93 harness had a different style plug on the transmission, the alternator wire was part of the engine harness not the body harness, and also the 93 harness had different ac sensors and what not..... just splice the connectors itn its your best bet. i pulled that whole body harness form my 95 only to find out it wouldnt match up...waste of time just use the 94 harness. good luck brother.
