guess i just now noticed this sound while pulling out of the driveway tonight. seems like when i turn the wheel either direction i hear a "cherp, cherp" sound. i tested it just sitting in the driveway turning the wheel to both sides and it doesnt happen in a certain spot just randomly and inconsistently while turning the wheel. im not sure when this started happening or if its something concerning. anyone think they could diagnose this with the information given? dont want something little to cause bigger problems. thanks alot

are you sure thats not the sound of your tires on the garage floor, happens when you turn without moving, especially if your garage has one of those coatings on the floor.

its in the driveway on the concrete. Id hate to think thats how stupid i am... Ill jack it up this weekend and check everything for obvious problems

well on concrete its more of a scraping sound than a cherp. take a look make sure your wheels have no play in them. also check for play in the steering wheel (before you jack it up) you could be due for some new power steering rack bushings if you have a god amount of play.
