Default Wheel bearing and brake caliper questions.

Anyone of you guys go with Timken wheel bearings? they seem good. I need to replace my front bearings as they are making some light noise.

I also need to replace my pads and rotors pretty quick. BUt one thing I noticed is, that the front are dual piston calipers, is that stock? I know some people swap on different brake calipers from some other lexus cars. Just wanted to make sure I get the right pads.

Timken makes good bearings. Stock sc brakes are dual piston.

Timken is made in Japan. I compared Timken with Duralast(which is made in China) side by side, very big difference, you can clearly see Timken's built with quality. That's what I used when I changed mine, very satisfied.

Any one tried "in situ" replacement of the front bearing using something like

Front Wheel Bearing Adapters
U.S. General - item#66829

http://www.harborfreight.com/fwd-fro...ers-66829.html

The axle-nut is on the inside and my concern is access.

I expect to separate the tie-rod to increase the angle.

You might have clearance to get the axle nut off, but when I did mine, we had to also press the hub to get it out of the bearings. If yours came out easily, which I doubt, the tool you showed might work. But I doubt you can do it without taking the whole knuckle off and using a press.
