My 92 sc300 5 Spd just failed the hydrocarbon test. I was measured at 119 ppm which is 15 ppm over the maximum 106 ppm for HC. Wtf!!! The high speed check passed with no problem ,,
Anyone have this happen to them?
I'm
Thinking I have an exhaust leak in between header and block...
samething happened to me about a week ago but my number was 245 and needed to be under 220 here in Texas. I ran a a few sips of sea foam through my intake manifold off a vaccuum hose, then the rest through the tank. Drove her like I stole her, took her back to test again same day, left her running until they were ready, and she passed.
Just did tune up the night before, oil , filter, spark plugs, wires, air filter, cleaned maf and throttle body as well as I could. Only the low speed shows up as fail high speed was fine.
