canister vsv part number needed

Default canister vsv part number needed

im trying to locate a canister purge valve vsv or any other name people know it as, local parts stores dont show it and i cant find it on the online stores either i have p0441 showing insufficient flow and i narrowed it down to the valve i just dont have time to take it apart and get the part number off the old one. thanks in advance and yes i did search 96 sc300

Always state what engine you got.

Locate the canister, there are 2 vacuum lines - one the big one goes to the gas tank. Second the thin line goes to the vsv. Thats the one.

lol thought i put that in there i know where it is located i need to know the part number so i can get a new one. like i said local part stores dont even show it

I hope that's your problem. The vent line out of my gas tank is clogged with rust, as is the line from there to the canister. It's in another thread here with posts from only me as apparently few have ever fought the evap system.

I'm no help on the part number.

it is i tested it b4 and it was internally shorting but i shook it loose and it started operating properly, that was months ago and the light finally came back on. i just never thought to write the number down. i guess ill just wait till monday and call lexus then use that p/n online

your right i just edited and threw 96 sc300 but to be more specific for you GS I HAVE A 1996 LEXUS SC300 3.0L INLINE 6 2997CC ENGINE
