Default Problem with power windows sc300!

ok so my next on the to-do list of fixing up my car are the power windows. they dont work. previous owner said it was the switches. i wanted to hear what you guys thought it was. neither window switch works on passenger door OR driver door. only thing that works is the driver side "lock doors" switch. doesnt unlock it just locks. lol.

this is not my interior lol i wish mine looked like this. anywho. as labeled the only thing that works on either door (excluding the door handles and locks) is this one unlock door switch. when i press the driver side lower window button i can here the motor try but its really weak. any ideas? should i just replace both switch panels?

also. those seat buttons dont work either. any ideas on that? lol

It is my understanding that the switches lose their memory and require resetting. My apologies for not knowing more, but I am VERY new to all this and I have just been reading through the site. I am confident a simple search would yield results for the how-to for resetting the window switches.

First check the fuses.

Since the switche are not working on either side, it is much less likely to be wiring harness as it goes into the door.

At least since the windows are not falling down the problem is not the regulators where the cables tend to break ,.

I am having same problem but my ds window switch makes a whining noise anytime I push up/dn on the switch, Windows work maybe 10% of the time I try them?? Thought it may be an intermittent conn in the door but there must be pwr present because of the whining when activated? maybe a gnd?? wtf????

There is most likely a broken wire in the door jamb and it is most likely the big white wire with black stripe. Same thing happened to me, the button would make a buzzing noise.

Yea My switch didn't work either, I then slit the rubber hose from the door to the car, and found 2 broken wires. I repaired them and now everything works. The weird thing is, that the one wire, when it was disconnected, my switch wouldn't work the driver or passenger windows. Then fixed it worked both.
