Where in ga are you located. I wanna do this swap and will be nice to have someone that already knows about the swap. I have contacted several performance shops and they said that it cannot be done and it will take tons of modifications if they have to do it and thousands of dollars when just for labor.

You decided to go with the HR? I am stuck in a similar dilemma...I really want to hear from someone who has done this conversion already on a 2JZGE...I guess it can't hurt to ****** up a tranny when I find a deal on one.

HR is the same dimension wise to the DE, I asked tons of people questions until I found all the answers I needed and in my opinion the concentric slave is better than the traditional external slave. and i didin't have to worry about someone lying about whether it was a cd009 or not because all the hr's are cd009's

only difference will be the throwout bearing, i need to get a pressure plate and figure out the width of the springs so i can tell zspeed which throwout beearing i want.

added everything up(few missing).... just at $4000 including transmission. all brand new parts. so will it be worth it in the end? we'll see.

transmission mount $56
adapter plate w/ pilot adapter $387
flywheel $275
mk4 oem flywheel bolts (8) $75
oem pilot bushing $13
shifter bracket w. short shift $340
zspeed slave cylinder $325
clutch pedal set $500
sr20det clutch (6 puck) $127
scion tc pressure plate (act extreme) $370
350z/titan 4x2 slip yoke $,,,
custom cross member $....
custom driveshaft $.... guess is $450-500
fluid, $45
speedometer speedhealer $....

friends time... $ s14 5 lug conversion

If you address the slave cyl issue with the HR trans then you're good to go. Just as a word of caution to others attempting this, the 07-08 HR trans had recalls because of clutch failures.

You can easily identify the CD009 trannys from prior years, its clearly stamped on the casing. If I remember correctly, 05-06 G35's and 350Z's all had cd009's with a few oddball reported cases of 009's popping up in prior years mostly because of factory replacements due to synchro failure.

from what i've seen the only way to tell if its a cd009 is from a sticker. and not that people would say it fell off or anything but it does probably happen.

and i am addressing the slave issue by buying this slave setup from zspeed. the recall with them was the throwout bearing and the clutches they were using like in this link it was due to them still using a DE pressure plate but the concentric setup had a smaller TOB so it moved around and caused failures

I promise it will i had a 50k w55 with stage 3 clutch while granny shifting on my aristo with stock boost and it broke in a month in a half, there is too much torque for those trannys and a 58 is only a tad bit stronger than a 55, but hey u can try it whats the worst that can happen ur down for a month and have to change the trans.

When is the website going to be back up?

Does anyone have a parts list for the swap if you're just swapping over from a W58 to a 350Z trans? I would hate for this W58 to blow up while road racing and if the pricing between the R154 and this is similar, I'd go 6 spd.

Thanks
Jeremy

you would have to buy everything except rear shaft and your clutch pedals/master cylinder.
