There was talk about the starter teeth not engaging the flex plate due to the distance added by the flywheel adapter. There's a ton of speculation about this whole setup though so I'm not surprised if that's not the case.

The flywheel adapter is for the flywheel. The flexplate stays in the stock location as far as I know.

Who has a setup that spaces the flex plate away from the crankshaft. For obvious reasons that shouldn't even be tried lol.

2JZ coupe- Keep us updated on George's work. I'm familiar with his fab work and would like to see what he comes up with. I'm sure he'll work out something for the shifter as well.

Adapter on and flex plate on with bolts finger tight:

3 sets of hardware that came with the flywheel adapter. Pretty sure he said to just use one set, which will replace the actual flexplate bolts. waiting for confirmation

Holes all lined up perfectly so far!

Has anyone with a tranny got a side by side view of the w55/58 next to the cd009. Is the cd009 alot wider where the casings meet in the front of that black cover plate? It looks like its gonna be a tight fit on my is300 in that area.

Still have the flywheel(3sgte lextreme), clutch disc(HD ACT sr20det), pressure plate(HD ACT 3sgte), master cylinder(driftmotion), clutch line(driftmotion) and shifter(oem) to buy. at a bit of a standstill though until i find out what the CEL on my car is and buy new front lcas... my car loves to break on me when i spend money for something fun.

Just thought i'd add my swap in the mix. wont have many more updates after this unless my friends keep sending me pics

supras and new sc's have abs speed sensors in their hubs, replace a hub with one and buy a abs speed sensor converter. its a hassle, but nissan on toyota your going to have a something bit you in the butt. thats as much as i've come up with no idea if it will really work or not.

Have a pic of the modified shifter linkage by chance? Did you just cut the arm part out and weld the two U pieces together?

I don't see the flywheel adapter thing for the 2jz on that website.
makes it alot more interesting with the flex plate and adapter allowing standard 350z stuff to be bolted on.
