My car idles SUPER low
200RPM's...that's definitely low. It should be near 700. Either you have a vacuum leak, your IACV is dirty, have a bad ground, or your TPS is acting up. Start with the easy things first, check for leaks and clean the IACV and throttle body.
ill show this to my brother because... i have no clue what any of this is. i like mechanics, just havent learned to much technical stuff. i know its supposed to be at a healthy 800 RPM's
I had a low idle for the longest time, couldnt figure out what it was for the life of me. I'm pretty sure I tried everything in the book.
Turns out my rpm gauge was off, showed 100-200 rpm at idle, when a OBD scanner showed 700 on its reading. Took me forever to figure that out; so that may be an easy answer for you.
This didnt work for me (obviously because my idle was actually ok), but when I tightened it, it threw all my gears off..

If the idle was actually 200, it would run rough and probably cut off on you. You might have the same issue that scEnforcer has described. Have you run a code scanner or done an OBD1 code test just to see if your ECU is hiding any codes? It might be a good time to check it out.

i need to run the diagnostics machine asap lol
If I remove the battery in mine it idles extremely low for about a day and then it corrects itself.
Not a complaint, my car runs great, and nothing is wrong with it, just something ive noticed.
