Default Speedometer not working properly - all other gauges working

Hello all,

I've done a ton of digging on this forum and have narrowed it down to either the speed sensor or the entire cluster needs to be changed.

My speedo literally jumps from 0 mph to 30 mph at all times and if I go fast enough, drops to 0 at all times. All other gauges work including the odometer. Can anyone advise on what part I need exactly? Do I need the entire cluster replaced or do i need a sensor?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Sounds like a sensor. I certainly would try that before replacing the entire cluster. Good luck and keep us posted on your findings.

Hey Que,

Any substance behind that? I've been doing a lot of guess and checking lately and its really getting expensive (other issues - see another topic regarding gas mileage).

Also, I hear there are two sensors in this car... anyone know which one? Thanks
