Jae,

If you really have to do all that stuff, i would just get the V1/ V2 for the 2JZ and have tweak make me a patch harness and Voila you will be running in 15 min.

Bryan,
You are one lucky guy! thank god you didn't install it and found out the hard way..

If you are still interested in the AEM, I would still buy it, and buy a Suprastick. I had one, and the way it works is extremely cool, and its basically like a manumatic. Its worth looking into.

anyone have any idea if these Driftmotion AEMv2 kits are wired for sequential or semi-sequential?

the stock 1jz ecu/harness is wired to fire the injectors in pairs, but i am pretty sure the map that comes with the dm AEMv2 kit is setup to fire sequentially.

no matter what we do, we can't get mark's engine to stop filling the cylinders with fuel during cranking. it is very strange.

It's all in the wiring of the jumper harness and the settings of the ecu. My guess since its for a 1jz it's batch fire

It's not the AEM my friend ...sorry

My 93 SC400 runs perfect with a 97SC300 2jzge engine in it the only thing i have to do is move the oil level sensor wire to a diffeent location but eveything works like stock.

i thought AEMs were crazy versatile. so u could run High or Low impedance injectors. seems it can only run High.

someone told me that u just switch a jumper around or dip switch. something to that effect. because i just bought 6 low impedance injectors that fit in the stock rail. and was curious.

I just did the same but running a box is fine by me. I would rather wire up 6 wires instead of change out my entire fuel system.

The Supra V2 will drive low Z injectors. The old V1 wont. As far as the converted Honda V2, I'm not sure on that one.

hmm i looked on that site that was linked here. and the supra V2 is marginally higher in price. but i have a 1jz in my car. and it doesn't run a Air Flow Meter like the USDM cars do.

People who run the V2 just convert to speed density and ditch the MAF regardless. The Supra V2 could be used on a 1JZ with minor mods to the harness.

I was under the impression that the v2 had a better time controlling the auto then the v1.

i would really perfer a supra V2 aem over a modified honda box anyday of the week. i got a guy that makes harnesses from scratch here in town. would be nothing for him to make a jumper harness for soarer 1j to supra 2j
