Default 93 sc400 - runs good, rough right off idle

What's up guys, my v8 car has some sort of running issue and I haven't quite nailed it down...

It runs great, though the cold starts aren't quite as lightning quick as they were 25k ago (still starts up great, but it used to start with a quick bump of hte key when cold), fuel mileage is normal and things are legit, but it seems like it's doesn't quite have the power that it should. I have a 94 300 as well now with similar mileage and the 400 just doesn't have the power that it does. I know that the 6 and the 8 are pretty close stock, but I think somethings up with the 8. Just drove it from PHX to La Jolla CA with no issues this weekend and averaged 20mpg doing 80 - 100.

It does this kind of wierd thing like it's missing or too lean or something when i bump the gas real quick and let off, not a rev, just a touch, it kind of shakes and runs rough for a second then smoothes out. It's like it starves for fuel or something along those lines. It passed emmissions here in AZ recently, but the exhaust kind of stinks to me...

I've done plugs, wires, cap/rotor and all that goodness but it's stil the same. I'm running shell 91 octane with no pinging or other engine issues.

Think I shoudl swap O2 sensors? Fuel filter? I dunno, maybe I'm mistakenly expecting perfection out of a 150K mile car...

your thoughts sirs?

You said the exhaust kind of stinks? Do you mean like sulfur? Rotten eggs? Your catalytic converters may be on their way out. Have you checked for codes yet? If the car is throwing codes, that can often times start you in the correct direction.

Not really rotten egg smell (i know what you're saying), more of a maybe rich idle smell or something like that.
