I got my 92 sc400 back in November and now I'm ready to start adding hp to it. But before I do so I wanted to know more about the engine. Like how much hp you can add to them and etc.

You can add as much as you can afford.. To have any real noticeable gains (100hp+) be prepared to spend 3-5k you should check out the forums on lextreme.com they are more directed to the Toyota V8 motors

he hit this right on the nail..... Check out the lextreme website for all your modding on the V8. There is a few of them on here, but I warn you, it is very, very expensive. I looked into it, but decided on the swap. More available parts and easier to do with more HP. GL to you. The V8 is super reliable by adding the BFI, headers, full exhaust, and slip on mufflers. And to really wake it up add the R154 or W58 tranny.... GL
