Power Steering tilt
Hello I'm not sure if this goes in this thread..but if it isn't Admins delete! So anyways, My power steering tilt has completely stopped working. I think it is the wiring, since I can't even hear it grind or do anything at all honestly, its just there. So I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. Is it bad wiring...disconnected wire. Please and thank you. ( PS I have a 92 SC300)

Its more than likely the plastic gear on the inside of the column. Remove the plastic trim around the steering wheel. Turn the steering to the right and remove the hidden bolt/screw. Then remove the one bolt on the left side size 10mm. Remove the plastic gear and place a thick washer behind it and then put the gear back on. Try it out and see if the grinding quits. The gear gets pushed back in sometimes. The washer prevents it.. reinstall... if this doesnt work look at the ecu under the dash. Two pkugs and its white. Good luck

I don't think its the gear??, because the buttons don't respond at all, as in it won't even make noises when I touch it. So its most likely the ECU, I believe. Ty for the information! I will check ECU
