chinese forged pistons and rod
While researching for 2JZ build, I came across chinese made forge aluminum piston and rod and other 2JZ parts, their price is amazingly affordable, in comparison to JE, Arias, Mahle, CP piston. Have anyone use them? Some company also ISO 9001 and TS16949 certified with same material Aluminum pistons, 4340 complete with coating skirt on the side and top. Hardness level certified ...

I am all for Chinese parts, but only if they do a simple job.
Exhaust tubing, intercoolers, etc.
I would personally never put Chinese parts where precision is necessary, like the rotating assembly of the engine that will be firing those pistons up and down billions of times.
Building an engine is something you only want to do once. Do it right or do it twice.

yes I understand, their quality is not yet proven, or even if they do we do not know (whether piston manufacture is outsourcing or not). Im just wondering if anyone of member here have use them.

My dad had a Japanese radio that he was tyring to sell in Craiglist and no one bought them (after enlisting multiple times), then he sold it at three times the price what the listed for.

I just don't see them being needed in the 2jz platform with the OEM parts being so strong..so more then likely no one well give them a shot..like said most people that go after market forged are going for ridiculous power and only go for the best...not a Guinea pig

for real the only thiong i would change for 900-1000rwhp will be the main caps and the rods maybe pistons if i wanna go with a different compression ratio.
do not put no china RODS and pistons don't be the first One my friend it's not worth it.

ISO # are factory ratings on quality
ISO 9001 used to be the industry standard, but it's easy to get that one. TS16949 is the new one. major mfg's and remfg's will try to get this one. but once again, it's not proven. that being said...
spend the $ and do the job once?
save the $ do the job 2x, at more $.

Are you building an NA or Turbo motor? If NA then how much power are you trying to get? If Turbo, why are you rebuilding it? Is it broken?

It's interesting to read the negative comments on chinese products. Most of America had the same attitude about Japanese products some time ago. Look how that ended.
Many Chinese manufacturers have been TS 16949 for a while, and more will become certified. Much of the technology required to manufacture higher quality products went to China when America and other countries moved their factories there. The same quality product for a lower price.
This same argument will will be had over pistons made in India soon.

It nothing to do with China, it's certification, or quality in Manufacturing.
I have a Chinese TIG welder, and it's awesome. It doesn't have moving parts that will spin around in the billionsx10 so I know it will be reliable.
No one ever said "Hey, you know how you can get 800hp out of a 2JZ, build it from the ground up."
Usually it's "Hey, did you know that a stock internal 2jzge can hold 800hp!?"
So if OEM will fit, is high quality, and is PROVEN to make big power, why be a guinea pig?
