Default oil light?

as of this morning, whenever i would brake, the oil light would come on. When i accelerate, the light would turn off.

i checked and added oil

Now, when i gas, the light turns off, and when i let off the gas the light turns on

Which light? The yellow one by the tach, or the red one down by the gas gauge? If it's the yellow one, you may have a bad level sensor, or wiring issue with same. Mine is bad and the light comes on and goes off depending on driving style.

Well, that is bad then. You are losing oil pressure for some reason, or you have a short in the sensor wiring or a failing sender or gauge. The only way to really know is to put a mechanical gauge on it. Is the car making any strange noises?

So you are loosing oil pressure during Idle.

First thing is to change your oil filter, might be clogged. Oil pressure sensor is right next to the oil filter. You can unscrew it and place a gauge.

Try not to drive the car too long with this issue or you could end up replacing an engine.
