Soarer clutch master/slave cylinder same as?

1jz r154 Soarer I think clutch master might have gone out. Will look tommorow and double check. Car has been driving awesome with no issues. Today was pretty cold out, I go to start car and clutch pedal just dropped to the floor. U can raise it back by hand and it will stay there but u try to depress it same thing occurs. S0 pretty much no pressure/resistance. I didn't have a chance to look at it in detail as I was in a rush and took the other car. So my question is what cars clutch master would be direct bolt on? Mk3 supra? Obviously I can't go to parts store and ask for replacement one for a Soarer.

have you tried bleeding the clutch/ checking for leaks? still fluid in the cmc?

Haven't tried anything yet... Like I said I was in a rush to leave so I drove a different car. Pretty much made this thread just incase to know what part to buy if needed.

took a look at the cmc now and the fluid is pretty much empty. Going to add some fluid later in the day and hopefully that gets some pressure back into the system for me to get the car to my garage. Its like 5 degrees right now!

little update and vid of whats goin on/

added fluid... same thing..

If i start the car in gear it can drive/roll. In neutral obviously nothing happens. So pretty much when the clutch pedal is on the floor the clutch is still engaged...

opinions?

all this leads me to believe bad clutch master cylinder...

with that said sc300/soarer have the same one?

no that you added fluid you have to bleed it. the bleeder is usually on the slave cylinder. two people job or auto bleeder. i think thats your issue

or it just went down from time?

you need to bleed it after you fill it.

greens14 Jan 20, 2012 10:31 PM

^you could be right... ive never owned a car long enough to see that happen though! either way you need to bleed!

killerGSR Jan 21, 2012 01:58 AM

Cool thanks for the help will try bleeding it on Sunday. We got about 8 inches of snow and car won't move anywhere in it lol.

bleed it and use highest DOT(highest wet boiling boint) fluid available, super racing blue if available since its soo close to the turbos..

killerGSR Jan 24, 2012 05:36 AM

well i tried bleeding it and nothing was happening. I took apart the master and everything inside looked good and in proper working condition. Took out the slave and the seal was completely torn. Picked up an mk3 supra slave and will be installing that tomorrow along with a rebuild kit for the master. (not needed but may as well(

sounds like youll be on the road! is the rest of your setup from an soarer? im interested in the mk3 is a direct bolt up on the W. in theory it should work perfectly fine
