Default Tundra TRD Supercharger In An SC400

I was wondering if there was any new info on this? I read through just about every bit of info I could find on the subject and not a single one had a final conclusion on whether or not it would work and everything i read was dated back to 2006 at the most recent.
There was one thread on CL that had a quote from the people at TRD saying that the pulley was an issue but nothing problematic enough that someone with enough determination and know-how couldn't solve, so you'd think someone should have figured it out by now.
And surprisingly, there is pretty much no info on lextreme about this either.

if you are looking for something more "bolt on" and in the same price range as a new trd supercharger

Haha, I was thinking more "used trd supercharger" price range. I can't believe they want $5k for that kit. That's more than I payed for my car.

I'm still set on going turbo but I wanted to see if there was any new info on the trd supercharger that would convince me to go that route instated.

You'd probably have to use the heads off of a non vvti 2uz. I know the 1uz heads work on the 2uz for the non vvti 4.7 swaps.
