Default Sc300 NA-T build

Could I run a aem fmic with the stock ecu without using a standalone and make good power?

simple answer is no.. stock ecu has zero look up maps beyond atmosperic pressure .. makes stock ecu go ape ___ at the wrong times .. you want a true na-t to work and be reliable standalone is required

look at my sig for power levels and i still have the original 15 yr block in car and i drive it everyday and been boosted 4.5 yrs

stock ecu? u need at least an emanage ultimate. dont go cheap with a SAFC, youll gain an extra 20hp with just a good computer. or even better go megasquirt (assuming you have a really good tuner)

dude he said AEM FIC, which is basically the same thing as the e-manage.

Isn't aem fic for OBD2 cars and not compatible with the karman vortex sensor?

good question. is that true? i've always been a standalone EMS guy.

fwiw, i was thinking of the 95+ MAFs, not the earlier karmans

The F/IC has an onboard MAP sensor. It can work with OBD-I, or OBD-II cars.

i just got my AEM EMS in the mail. installing it as soon as i get my MAP and IAT sensors in the mail.

Do you have everything installed yet? That is the same setup I have, if you need help let me know, I can come by or you can come over and we can install it at my house.
