98-2000 SC400 1UZ NA potential powers?
Can folks with their 1998 to 2000 SC400 1UZ-FE motor list down their horsepower/torque ranges for NA version?
I would like to see what bolt-on can do for the 1UZ-FE motor.
I own a SC300 working on a 2JZ NA to Turbo build but at the same time (motor on engine stand), I have my eyes set on a 2000 Lexus SC400 black leather interior on black exterior for $6k in pristine condition.
Any inputs would help greatly. I love the SC300 and SC400! Want to add one more to my collection.

Headers, exhaust, SRT intake or BFI, that's it. Check out spdrcr771's threads tho. He's done some amazing stuff with his 98 1UZ, but it sounds like its all come at a cost..

If you're looking to turbo 1uz go with the 92 models they have a beefier rods(non vvti) and can handle forced induction power better than vvti.
I would jump all over the 2k model for 6k$ depending on the mileage, but that's a still steal, 290 hp out of the box with a bolt on intake and exhaust you're looking at close to 300 reliable naturally aspirated horses

ive been contemplating getting a sc4 for the same reason, i figure
full exhaust
ported t/b (possibly manifold too but havent researched it much)
intake
custom grind cams
you should be able to get 350 ish and have a pretty bad *** sc
not to mention you could "bolt on" a 4.7 block

the aftermarket intakes for the vvt-i motors are terrible. The BFI may produce more power than stock, but I myself haven't verified this. The SRT intake is crap and uses the piggyback ecu to just bandage its shortcomings. look for the planet soarer articles that detail the effect of the stock helmholtz resonator and what happens when it is removed.
porting the intake manifold, heads, and what not will yield gains if done right and tuned, however these are not "bolt on" mods.
the best bet is a bfi and full exhaust, look on here for full exhaust advice, it will have to be done custom. you can easily go too big on the na motor and lose low end torque fairly quickly so be cautious in this area.
and kelford makes different cams for the motor and i believe can even do custom grinds, but your choice on grind will depend on you overall goal and streetability you are looking for.
