2JZ-GTE SC300 slow acceleration in 1st gear
Hey guys, I have a 1997 SC300 with a 2JZ-GTE swap. Im stilling running the twins until I have time to put the HX40 on. The seals are shot so im consume a bit of oil.
My question is, when accelerating in 1st gear at WOT, I find that it feels like im not even boosting until i get into 2nd. It feels like it just revs out and hits rev limiter if i let it. Is the reason because the 1st gear is too short to allow the turbos to start sppoling and a produce a buttload of lag? The other gears pull hard so im just wondering what some of the cause might be? I dont have a boost gauge so I cant tell whats going on.
