power steering assist? does it take some getting used to?
or am i hallucinating? it seems like my power steering goes out the window at higher speeds, i've heard this is due to power steering assist but i havent seen many threads on it. I assume im the only one who feels as though its strange?
Nope, I definitely feel it, freaked me out the first time I felt it too. Glad to know I'm not alone lol. I think it has to do with progressive power steering (PPS). Personally I don't like it at all. I like my steering to be the same no matter what speed I'm at.
So you guys want to beable to move your steering wheel at 70+mph with your pinky finger?! Unsafe if you ask me, and there for a reason. If the SC wasnt so heavy when not in motion, I would remove power steering all-together.
Just this. I haven't had PS in my current SC3 5Spd for about 3 years. I have no complaints and my car is still manageable at low to no speed. Next to come out is A/C and heat.

Why didn't you just buy a Geo Metro instead and avoid all the hassle?
^ Why didn't you just go buy a Supra? LOL. This is the 4th 5 Spd i've owned, since I'm opening a shop I'm going in a different direction with this one. I'll more than likely purchase another one and build a complete street car. This one is being thrown onto the track.

Well I guess that makes sense. Don't need AC if it's a track car. You'd be surprised how many people take off heat and ac who daily their cars... and that is beyond me.
