Default Anyone running High Temp silicone for manifold gasket

I am getting close to mounting my manifold and lines for the single turbo on my 1JZ. I noticed in the 2 gasket sets that I bought, it does not come with a manifold gasket. I dont know if its missing or it comes with one period. I did find some high temp 700 degree silicone made for manifolds and such. Will this work or just spend the extra dollars and buy one seperate, if I can from Driftmotion? Secondly, I am not the one to ghetto anything, just asking for positive and negative experiences on this stuff while I have it already. Thanks for any inputs!

I have a v clamp style on my down pipe and for whatever reason, it will not completely seal. I used Permatex copper and it works great. I had it for a year so far and it has not leaked yet.

That is exactly what I bought. Maybe thats what I should have named the title of my thread. Any one else running this type of sealant?

Copper stuff is great.

I never use composite gaskets on Turbo flanges, all Copper.

Gotta make sure the surface is planed or it will have trouble sealing.

Manifold to head I would use a gasket, it gets a lot hotter then 700 degrees on there!

This is a pretty basic fix, you can google it. There are tons of information about people using it -from a grandma car to 8 sec cars. It doesn't have to be only in the SC forums.
