went to go see some people race tonight at (us27) and when we pulled into one of the plazas i turned off my car and the brake lights were still on i couldn't figure out why they wouldn't shut off...so some guy who thinks hes a mechanic tells me to pull the main fuse and put it back in and like a idiot i listen but the dam thing was suborn to come out so i think i destroyed it so the car wouldn't start for nothing even with a jump the dash lights come on and that's it...so after an hour of being frustrated i called my cousin and he told me to bridge it with a piece of metal or wire and presto the car starts but with limited power i drove home with no headlights..as soon as i got into my community i turned on my high beams and the battery light started blinking so i shut them of quick when i got in the driveway the car shut off completely..poped the hood and the fuse box was hot as hell so i removed the bridged piece of metal and the battery...so my question is will a blown 60a main fuse cause the battery to die like that or give you loss of power while driving and cause the fuse box to be hot like that...i was thinking alternator but it couldn't be it wasn't doing it until i pulled the fuse and was forced to make a temporary bridge..

Those fuses are BOLTED into the fuse block, hence why they do not pull out. Your fuse block was hot likely due to lack of your jumper to make a good enough connection to supply up to 60a of current. Buy a new fuse bolt, it in properly and go from there n

btw your brakes lights were probly stock on because of the little rubber on the brake pedal. Mine fell out a few months back.

yea thanks for the photo i was limited with time i had to knock it out before i went to work today
i wish i would have got this pic in the morning when i trying to figure it out ..but i just used my common sense and swapped it out in like 10 mins..car stalled about three times when i first tried starting it and the third try i was good as gold...
