Hey mostly while i just turn my sc400 off after a drive or even while driving i can hear a tink tink tink noise sounding like its coming from my exhaust pipes/converter....is this a normal thing for lexus's? I remember hearing it on my is300 aswell.

Metal expansion, more than likely it's coming from heat shields.

Hey I don't blame you for being curious about the noise coming from your exhaust. I posted a similar thread back in 2006 (one of my first postings) about this matter. It's totally normal.

It's definitely normal. My SC always does this. I never really noticed it on my GX or Honda, but every SC I've seen makes that noise.

I had a 96 volkswagen passat vr6 glx that the exhaust didnt do the tink tink noise on....is that weird?

Most definitely. You should get that checked right away because it doesn't make a weird tink tink noise.
