"Tink Tink" noise coming from exhaust?

Default "Tink Tink" noise coming from exhaust?

Hey mostly while i just turn my sc400 off after a drive or even while driving i can hear a tink tink tink noise sounding like its coming from my exhaust pipes/converter....is this a normal thing for lexus's? I remember hearing it on my is300 aswell.

Metal expansion, more than likely it's coming from heat shields.

Its perfectly normal, the cats do that when they cool down.

I have to ask a couple questions about this topic...#1, did anyone that asks this question not take any kind of science class in school? and #2, how many times is this going to be covered?

completely fine... either science is doing its thing or that your exhaust telling you that the car will blow up soon

It's definitely normal. My SC always does this. I never really noticed it on my GX or Honda, but every SC I've seen makes that noise.

its normal. every car i've had/have driven does this and so do most other cars.

I had a 96 volkswagen passat vr6 glx that the exhaust didnt do the tink tink noise on....is that weird?

Most definitely. You should get that checked right away because it doesn't make a weird tink tink noise.
