Definitive SC400 Header Question
So after reading pages upon pages in the various sections on CL and google, my question is which header for the SC400 gives the best performance and quality?
The S&S headers are no longer sold and many people stated that even their second batch versions were cracking.
The IMF headers were said to be low quality as well with people commenting on their gimmicky marketing. Additionally as of late, the IMF website is down
The PPE headers originally seemed to be good, but people were getting theirs with small holes in them as well as unfinished protrusions on the inside. Additionally, the PPE ones were stated to not be a direct fit for the SC400.
Lastly is the RUSH headers from Australia. They are still for sale and are a long tube design. However, people were commenting on one of the tubes protuding further out in the collector and creating undesirable flow properties. Does anyone know if this has been fixed by them?
So with these known problems, have any been fixed in the last couple of years and if so which is the best option?
Additionally, if all of these still have their respective problems, does anyone know a reputable header fabricator on the Western side of the U.S.?

Well really all header's are one off & probably always gonna have some small issue. But my PPE's are great so far, & the only thing that was wrong with mine, was the driver's side had the O2 sensor bung on the top instead of the bottom. I was told by bcsc400 that he had the same issue & he sent his back & they made him a new one with the bung in the correct location. I didnt have this luxury at the time I came across my problem. So I had my exhaust guy put a plug in the original location, & drill & new hole & weld in a bung. If PPE know's its for a SC then they will put the bung in the correct location. PPE's are the only headers still using your factory cats in the stock location. If your car is 92-97 then you have EGR, & the PPE's do not have a EGR port on the passenger side. So that being said, you can do a EGR delete kit from Lextreme, or you can modifiy the passenger side to accept the EGR tube or you can just let it blow into the wind, lol.
