Default HELP, messed up electrical experiment

Hey guys, I just did an auto to R154 swap on a 96 OBDII SC300 and had one CEL I couldnt fix. I had a friend give me a suggestion to fix it. The problem was with vehicle speed sensor 2, there was no signal since the auto was out. So what I did was use a ripple binary counter to divide the frequency of VSS1 to send to VSS2.

I spliced into SP1 of the ECU, which is the output signal from VSS1 and I ran that to the counter and the output from the counter to SP2+ of the ECU(VSS2 signal)

Everything seemed operational at first until I tried to start the car. I hear the starter work for a split second. Then all power is cut, all the lights in the car stopped working. If I take the keys out, there is slight power since I see the door ajar bulb dimly light as well as the door light. When I try starting it again, nothing.

I checked all the fuses and they are all still intact. I've already removed the circuit I installed. Anyone have any ideas?

Now there's no power at all...all fuses are still good, the only thing on is a dimly lit door ajar light and dimly lit door side light. Does it sound like my ecu is fried?
