Default need help buying exhaust for my sc400 yr 1993

i have a 1993 sc400

right now im in the process of installing mp3 player and next thing i want to do is replace the oem mufflers with new ones, im a complete noob with this whole exhaust thing so please help me out, appreciate it

1. im looking for a deep growl, but wont get me in trouble with police or wake up neighbors, definitely not those that sound like farting if you know what i mean
2. whats all this tailpipe downpipe talk, please enlighten me
3. im also looking for a dual exhaust like the original, instead of just one
4. what consists of a compete exhaust setup? downpipe + tailpipe + 2x exhaust? what else?
5. what are good sc400 exhausts that i can buy thats great sounding but wont break my bank (im thinking of only spending 200-400 on this)
so a good list of exhausts names and part #s would be awesome too
6. how much of a HP increase will i get from the base 250hp?

thank you guys for reading this !

uhhh for 200-400 you could get some mufflers or get a shop to xpipe it and get rid of the resinators + some magna flow mufflers.

yea... believe it or not, car parts can be costly... you're gonna have to bite the bullet and shell out some cash for a good exhaust setup. since you had to go any buy one without the 2j, you get to shell out 2x the cash. just go x pipe to duals.
