Default questions about limp mode on 1JZGTE

I've concluded that my car is in limp mode right now, I have recently had a 1JZGTE with auto ECU swapped into my SC300 5speed and I'm pretty sure that the car is in limp mode. Basically it'll rev and drive but as soon as it hits around 3-4000 rpm it essentially gasps and dies until I shift into the next gear when it comes around. I have a feeling this is tied to the Auto ECU into a manual car but I'm not sure. could someone please list me the causes of limp mode?

It's unlikely that its an ECU issue, i have an auto ECU in my manual SC and works just fine through all the revs so something else is up. Check engine lights? What year is the engine and what year is the swap?

the CEL is on but so are all of the other lights, the wiring guy never got around to doing the gauges before we fell out. I was looking under the hood and saw a few things that looked unplugged maybe you guys know what they are and if they're causing my problems. I'm just so frustrated

i would try to retrieve codes before anything, simply assuming it's an ECU can set you back further if the ECU is fine to begin with. What all lights are on? Any of the gauges work?

pics 1 and 3 look like they are for the power steering pressure switch, helps reduce steering effort when the car is at standstill or travelling at low speeds. Pic two is just a horn for security alarm, don't need it.

if you are automatic then you need and automatic ecu, if you are manual and useing an automatic ecu you have to rewire it so it doesnt retard ignition timing during shift points. i believe you just have to cut the speed wire to ecu but look it up first
