Default i think my transmission is going out please help

i just got my 92 sc400 a few weeks ago im currently at 222,000 miles and haven had a problem with my trans until today...i was driving home on the freeway going about 75 when i felt the gears slip an the car jerked a little and when i was getting off the exit there was no power going to my wheels when i stepped on the gas the rpms when up but the car didnt move i pushed it to the side of the road an it still wouldent catch in reverse or drive until i turned the car off and back on then it caught for like 10min and went out again when i got to my neighborhood,...i checked the fluid level an it was really high over the hot marks what could be the problem?

Was the car running and level when you checked the fluid?

not sure how we can help but looks like a tran issue ... either you rebuild or swap it with another used one ... might be a good time to consider a supra swap

Transmission fluid level will always show way high when its in operating temperature. This is why you should check tranny fluid level when its cold. Your problem is probably in the transmission.

drain all your fluid and replace with toyota type IV ,,,that might help or if not usually its the solenoids that need replacing, also you can check for tranny codes being thrown ,,,is your trac light on ?

It's not going to help. Once your tranny starts acting up, it's pretty much done for. The tranny won't magically to back to normal. Sorry to hear about your tranny.
