Default Vibration at highway speed

Hello everyone,

You had the answer for the driveline vibration when accelerating from a stop.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...eleration.html

Our 1995 SC 300 still has a high frequency vibration at about 70 mph. By the time you get to 80 mph, it feels and sounds like you're on one of those twin engine turboprop planes.

It got a new rack and pinion, new tires, balancing, and alignment a month ago.

It's at the shop and I think they said they were going to service the "cap bearings".

Is that the fix? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the spot on diagnosis on the last deal!!

Yes, it gets louder the more you go above 70 mph.

The shop described "cap bearings" as the wheel bearings, so hopefully that will fix it.

I wanted to check with all the experienced folks here to see what experience they've had with this issue.

Well, the shop didn't want to do the front wheel bearings, so they're going to take the drive shaft off and check it's balance again. I doubt that will do anything.

Any suggestions?
