Default SC400 torque converter.......

I plan on getting a Lextreme t/c soon. I have someone locally that will do it out of his personal garage (he does alot of engine swap for people on a local forum). I called some "real" transmission shops, and the only one that actually answered me said it would cost about $8-900 to install the t/c plus fluid and the rear pump seal. I'm assuming the rear pump seal is another name for the rear main seal?
Is there anything else that I should get/replace while the t/c is getting installed?
What trans fluid does everyone recommend? Its not seeing heavy duty just maybe some stop light to stop light stuff.

Is there any tutorials on how to do it?

Most people on these forums and Supra forums recommend the factory Toyota transmission fluid. Also high stall TC's produce a lot of heat and heat is the number one cause of transmission failure, so I'd recommend installing a transmission cooler at the same time.

ok, thanks for the info. I assume the bolts for the bell housing and drive shaft can be reused.

Has anyone seen any tutorials for it, I've searched around and havent seen anything, I imagine its just a straight up t/c swap nothing special or too difficult?
