Default 1jzgte on sc400..

worth it? .. i want my sc400 to be manual turbo'd. but i figured since they didnt mass produce many turbo manifolds for the 1uzfe itd be a pain. and manual swapping a motor that wasnt made for it might be also..

so any input would be appreciated. should i just do the motor swap?

what would prices range from for the motor swap anyway. just as an estimate? i found a jdm 1jzgte for around $2500 bucks. what else would be needed to make this happen? . .thanks!(:

theres just a few extras to do it into a sc400 than a sc300.

resistor jump on your cluster, motor mounts, moving various parts around in the engine bay, and like a couple more things i cant remember.

is say if your thinking about dropping $2500 into your sc400 go w58 5-speed! its not as common and you get the fun factor of a 5-speed v8.

those two sites got just about everything you need to get it done except driveshaft and tranny

Two other options for you to consider.

Supercharge the V8

or 2UZ swap

or you could do both. Either option would be easier than going to a 1jz. They're both in the $5k+ range, but swapping to the 1jz will most likely end up costing you well over that. Something to think about

Thank you(: but I decided I may just sell my sc400 and add money and buy a manual sc300 whenever I can come across one. I feel like it would suit me better since I'm looking into getting this car "drift ready" but definitely thanks for the suggestion
