Default Na-t with a 4 inch turbo inlet

There seems to be alot of problems with fitting a turbo with 4in inlet in a Na motor with the distributor cap getting in the way. im getting most of my parts together and while i had some free time i decided to modify my compressor housing to help it clear the cap a bit by downsizing to a 3.5in

cutting out the 4in

new 3in sleeve pressed in

another side by side to unmodified housing

hopefully this and slight clocking of the flange it should work out..? maybe? thoughts?

it shouldn't cause any more restriction i just narrowed it in between the compressor map width enhancement grooves and the shroud as long as it can breath from the side still its fine.

im in Ventura

I took a better look at it and seems like I over looked the first pic. I seen a couple other SC's around here a black one with 97 lights, wheels and a gold one with a single exhaust, wheels and 95-96 lights. You don't happen to drive either one of them?

you can see it in this old picture, its not the reinforced kind, its the kind you can get at your local auto store. I would recommend getting a multiple layer one thats reinforced as the cheap ones that are 1 layer will melt over time sitting on the turbo.

Can't say I have seen it. I have a burgundy/dark purple with a vertex knock off on 19's. I haven't driven it for a while. Oh there is a second SC similar color to mine but it has the ebay want to be supra lights on the west end of town. I would like to check out your build some day.
