Question Sc400 manual ttc adapter questions

Has anyone used Eric @ TTC's adapter to put a 5 speed (either r154 or w58) behind a 1uz in a sc400?

The adapter is 19mm thick...

I'm wondering the right combination of gearbox input shaft length, bellhousing, clutch shifter and driveshaft to make it all work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd go v160 but I just can't bring my self to spend $3K to row my own at this point.

IIRC, jake^ (above) uses the 1uz auto bellhousing with an adapter at the back end of the bellhousing (between bellhousing and gearbox) with a hydraulic throwout bearing.
i am missing some info about the input shaft length (as the input shaft gets scooted back by the length of the adapter... does the tip of the input shaft still sit in the pilot bearing? any input on this jake?

you are correct my adapter puts the input shaft squarely in the pilot baring, the tcc adapter will scoot it out by the thickness of the adapter, i can do a flywheel to accommodate this but it will be a specialty item. personally i do not like adapters between the engine and bell housing for this reason.
