Its the same numbering as gerrb said, but the top left being 1 and counting to the right only works when looking at the pin side.
this is how they are actually numbered but alot of diagrams will show the wire side.

when looking at the wire side pin 1 is on the top right and it counts to the left.
that diagram above is the wire side, so the third row on the left half are pins 51-60 and the 52-57 written in there is correct.

hi ali

i guess im dumb as hell as when i count as you have illustrated and still dont see how you get to that row for the 52-57

nvm i got it now thx

from the tt ecu mod thread but the pinout is the same
You can see that plug "B" is the 2 plugs that are connected together, the numbers run across them.

it will look like this diagram, but ignore the lines from pins 52-54. you will only use 55-57 on the aem.

Ali, I have another off subject kind of question for you.
I see a lot of Supra guys using 1zz cops, I was wondering if that could be done with this mod.
i know I would have to get each cop individual signal or I can still wire it up like a waste spark, but is it possible and would i use same igniter?
i know it’s not relevant, but I thought it may be an upgrade on coils

i just realized, I posted this in the wrong post, but Ali you know what I’m talking about

If we’re using AEM EMS v1 (wasted spark) and we want to re-use our distributor sensor instead of the 7mgte cps, we just add 2 wires (B53 + B54) from our AEM EMS directly to the ignitor and use the AEM settings in this thread right?

Lastly, can we use battery ground instead of chassis ground or will it cause any problems?

Yes, add the 2 wires for the vvti ignitor and use the stock distributor. that is what most end up doing now, using the 7m was old technology and is now outdated for the most part.
make sure to use the sensitivity settings for the stock distributor, they are in the 1101 cal file but need to be changed to falling edge.

yes, you can use battery ground but it is probably a better idea to use a chassis ground right next to it. shouldn't make a difference that you can tell though.

Thanks Ali! Just curious, are there any updated dwell settings for these vvti coil packs that work better? Lastly, where is the chassis ground you recommend I use?

Hey guys (& gals?),

I got my sc started with the is300 coil packs and Aem Ems v1 ecu, but it keeps idling too high (~2,500 rpm) even after I turned the distributor base to match oem base timing at ~10 degrees via Aem’s wizard.

Any ideas why this is happening?

there is a whole tuning section for idle, you have to learn how to adjust the settings or get it tuned.
