Default Tansmissions.....No this is not another W58 or R154 thread

I have been searching CL up and down for the last hour and a half and I am really excited to find that no one has done posted anything about this and that I might be the first!

First of all, I sold my Supra, which for those of you who dont remember that I even bought one, about a month ago I bought an MKIII Supra TT for $1k because the car was completely torn apart and all I wanted was the R154, but 2 days ago I sold it w/trans for $5k. I know, badass right? I needed the money for all the crap Im doing to my car now and because I decided I didnt want the R154.

Instead, Im now thinking of getting an A650e and an IS300 e-shift setup. And since no one wants their autos and this tranny is in the 98+ SC400, this should be a walk in the park. Am I right or am I crazy?
I figured that since theres so many mods I can do to make that auto shift as fast as I want it to and that I could probably do some kind of mod to make the e-shift system be able to shift down to 1st, that I could make it as fast as a manual.
This sounds like fun but aslo like a big mistake. Someone please talk me out of this.

Dont you loose 15% more power through an automatic drivetrain vs. maunual drivetrain? and automatic trans are much heavier than most manual transmissions?

Sounds cool just little tid bits I have heard and may want to consider

pretty sure its 5% or 10% more at the most, 15% more seems excessive.

I know this thread is old,I'm not even sure if this guy is still around... but did you ever do this? If so was it very difficult? I have a 92 ls with a bad Trans and found a good a650e for cheap was thinking about doing the swap.
