Default Rod that connects to door handle

The rod that connects to the exterior door handle can that be purchased and installed separately? Or does the whole actuator assembly need to be purchased?

It's part of the actuator assembly. You can either make one or buy one used. PM Aliga for a used one.

If it broke, your pretty much screwed kinda. They do not sell the rod separately gotta buy the whole actuator. You can "ghetto" rig it to make it work, line up the rod to where it broke off and connect it to your door and zip tie it. I had it work for a good 6 months and then the zip tie broke and i just put it back on done.

make sure you test opening the door when its locked if you rig it up somehow. I had the common problem of the window hitting it, and it bent it really bad but i was able to bend it back up. I didnt bend it to the perfect shape at first, and when my passenger door was locked, if you pulled up on the handle, it still opened.
