Help, about to pay $355 for Vapor Canister!
I ordered the Duralast/Wells VC120 that Landcruiser guys use, but am concerned it won't fit. Lexuspartsnow has the lowest price of $355. This is the most overpriced car part I think I've come across. Any input on alternatives that have worked would be super helpful. I see used one's on ebay, but I image after 20 years the charcoal is soaked and clogged as well. I looked at my father's 1995 Corolla and it looked like it would fit, it is round though and not oval. The lowest price I found on that one is $220 which is still alot of dough. The VC120 was only $54!

Word. That's my thinking as well. Thing is that space is pretty tight in our cars and looking around at various canisters they are some really weird shapes, large, designed for the back of the car, 3 ports with purge valve, etc. A bit more complicated than I expected. The VC120 arrives at Autozone tomorrow and I'll see if it fits.

most of them are similar in connections, some have more ports than others. a common one people use on swaps is one from a corolla or a smaller toyota car or even pickup, they generally take up less space and are more designed for mounting in the fender area vs the SC ones that mount in the bay. #355 thats expensive, I was thinking under $40 from the first newer toyota I see sitting at the junk yard or hop on ebay.
