as in title i would like to know what kind of hp/tq the a340e can handle and what i could do to get more power out of it (besides a torque converter). thanks in advance.

a simple search would show you what these trannys can do and is probably why no body responded..but ~300-330whp is the max..

your SC400 has an a341e, the 340 was in the SC300 not the 400. But it can handle around 350-400 IIRC.

The torque is what kills the tranny, so we should ask for at what torque a tranny can be broken. The SC400 tranny can break somewhere 350-370 rwtq, although the rwhp is around 330 rwhp. It happened to me and a few others.
