Driveshaft removal
 
how in the hell did YOU GUYS REMOVE THIS THING any tips on removing those 6 or eight bolts??!:mad:

forget what size it is but removing them was pretty easy. i had to do it when i replaced my clutch, are they seized ?

remove the three bolts that hold the isolator to the dif, remove the heat shield over the drive shaft and unbolt the carrier bearing, slide it out of the transmission...take like two minutes. Oh and the driveshaft catch bracket with the 12mm bolts back by the diff.

yea only 3 of the bolts need to be removed. After that, get 2 pry bars and pry on the diff side to get the driveshaft to slide off it's mount (there's a shaft at the middle that lines it up). Before you take it off, don't forget to mark where you took it off in relation to the diff. Otherwise you'll get driveline vibrations.

make sure you use a strong impact wrench, makes life easier.
