I know it does not use T-IV and it says it needs Dexron II or III?

I have Toyota's Dexron PN: 00718-ATF00, this one does not say T-IV or WS on the label, it just says " AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID". I can source these at my local dealership.

What do you guys recommend for aftermarket ATF such as Mobil, Castrol, etc?

no one in the world has and cannot replicate toyota trans fluid type 4. because of patents on the synthetic formula and additives etc.

you have an sc300 so the box "can/could" handle using trans fluid other than type 4.

use reputable brands like mobil 1, amsol, royal purple and motul (ester, double ester formula) etc. which have 100% synthetic trans fluid in their line up.

order of preference

mobil 1
motul
amsol
royal purple
