Default Vibrations When 5spd swap w58 help.

I swap my auto tranny to Manual (w58). i used the Front piece driveshaft of a manual DRSHft and the Rear of a auto DRSHft. But when i drive it vibrates at 30 miles and it continues. what can it be. Help

check for it being bent, improperly mounted, or out of balance.

are you sure that you have your driveshaft properly phased? You may need to get it rebalanced in order for it to eliminate vibrations

Try unbolting the driveshaft sections, rotating it one bolt hole, and driving it......if that doesnt fix it, you can try that 2 more times....lol the 5 speed mounts are diffferent, but the crossmembers are the same....

Man bolting up two completely different driveshaft sections and this is gonna happen.

Like GSpec said try to rotate the front section so that the balance weights are on the same side of the front and rear shaft. If that doesn't work get it rebalanced locally.

The trans mount wouldnt cause that kind of vibration unless it's totally missing so you might as well replace it if its questionable.

Bad u-joints on the propeller shaft can cause this also.

Is the D S a one peice or 2peice ??

One peice D S will cause vibrations. the 2peice the Carryer bearing will dampen the vibration.
