Serpentine belt noise
So my 95 SC400 serpentine belt just started making the loud squealing noise, so I got some spray last night to make it go away but it came back this morning. I checked the belt and it looks good, no damage in the grooves or anything. But just in case I called Discount and they said there are 2 belts lengths and he doesn't know how to tell which one is for my car. Does anyone have any clue what he is talking about, also should I just maybe tighten or loosen the belt maybe?
Thanks guys

There's only one belt length i know of. And the squealing can be coming from the tensioner, or any other pully. if you can find which take off the belt and spin the pullys by hand and see if the bearings in any of them are on their last leg.

Okay cool I will do that after work, thats exactly what my grandpa told me to do as well. Also there is another size belt I found its for the SC400 but it says without AC so who knows.

Well the idler pulley was def very grindy so I just replaced it but I sitll get that noise. So I guess its not the idler pulley then, even though I think it was time to replace it

Your crank pulley is def FUBAR'ed, same thing happen to me with the same exact symptoms. If you look close, its sort of wobbling. Its an easy fix; remove belt, use the starter trick to break the crank bolt, use a steering wheel puller to yank it out and replace it with a new OEM pulley (or one that is dampened if you want an aftermarket one).
I inspected mine after the swap and noticed the rubber dampening material rotted itself to pieces, causing the pulley to sit at a slight angle. Upon further research, this sort of thing is a common occurrence in supras and SCs

When I got back home this morning to get my gf's car I noticed the tensioner was all the way in the far right position and not between I and III.....so I am pretty sure thats the issue

Well crap I got the tensioner install and everything back together but when I went to put the belt on I noticed that plastic box that surrounds the coil pack thing had dropped too low and was touch the belt. So I had to take everything apart and in doing so I snapped off the small thin nipple on the intake air connector so now I have 2 issues. One I need to either go to a junk yard and get the air connector and 2 figure out a way to raise that plastic casing.
Will I just throw a cell if I do not connect the tubing to the small nipple? Also did I get the part description "intake air connector"

So I got everything installed but for some reason the belts slips just a bit on the idler pulley which cause one of the ribs of the belt to be cut off from the crank shaft pulley. Its spinning fine now just 4/5 ribs from the belt. Also there is some weird rattle now in the engine but its been running fine for about 2 weeks now so who knows.
