just had my diff replaced, old 1 was grinding and clunking when turning but i still hear a wobbling noise comeing from the rear i do have 22inch rims on my sc400 but am lost as to what it could b a bushing maybe?

i believe it was a used diff, is the pumkin the gears inside of the houseing?

If you have a wobble in the rear, it could be a bad wheel bearing. Same thing happened to mine, the only reason my wheel didn't fall off is because of the drive shafts.

Here is a suggestion...take the 22" wheels off the SC. It was NEVER designed to have 22" wheels on it. Replace them with stock wheels, drive and see what happens. If its a noise, its probably a wheel bearing. If its a vibration its probably a bolt missing, tire balence, or something the installer of the diff did wrong.

Here is a better suggestion...leave the 22" wheels on the SC. It was NEVER designed to have 22" wheels on it but there on there now, stop using this form too b a smart @$$ and let me do my sc the way i want just like u did with all nine of your cars. Might Replace them with them with 24" or 26"s, drive and see what happens. The noise, it is a wheel bearing. its not vibration so no bolt missing, tire balence done after diff was replaced, installer of the diff didnt tell me about the bearing thank u to all who helped let u all know how she rides doin 100 on th 101fry

umm.. never looked into 22" tires... but.. what rating do those tires go up to? just because 100 on the 101 doesn't sound like a good idea in some areas

Big wheels will cause premature wheel bearing failure

well synthetic grease with new bearings, bigger break kit,better suspension that has them big wheels tucked in right and handle the short distant travel of the shocks and also adjustable camber and caster, possibly a th400(turbo hydro-matic) swap with a shift kit so it can handle all that rotating mass. Common problem of anything bigger then 20" your asking for suspension blow out, failed slipping transmission not built to pull all that weight, constant transmission fluid change, break pad replacing, and ultimately transmission replacement.

p.s. common problems when you bubble donk them out. like the t.v. in the headrest. almost a dub edition look not quite yet.
