Help NA-T 11mm injector hats leaking fuel!
Hi guys. I'm having a situation. I have a 97 na t setup with ffim. I'm using the factory fuel rail, lines, and fpr. Im using 11mm (blue) injector rehab adapter hats with Bosch 1000 (95lb) injectors on rail. I do have the lower intake injector bosses welded so the bottoms drop right in with the 14mm bottom oring. 2 things seem to be happening. 1st) the top Bosch o ring (blue 14mm or 14.5mm) fits loosely on injector hat (injector spins freely with hats on) With lube or not. I know they should be nice and snug not loose. I've read that sometimes the o ring tends to be a loose fit due to ID or OD size on injector o ring or it's a generic o ring that doesn't fit well. Maybe installing a GM or a oversized o ring like lingenfelter uses on Bosch equipped cars. 15mm or 15.2mm lower o rings up top may solve this? 2nd) Tightening down the 3 bolts from the fuel rail causes the rail to twist and have a slight umbrella angle between the hats and top of injectors causing jet stream like fuel when I turn key over to check. I'm assuming there has to be a fuel rail adapter bracket of some sort to keep the fuel rail straight and not twist or am I missing something? I notice that top feed after market 2jzge rails come with i believe spacers and brackets. jwin here on forrum has/had a similar setup to mines and he has I believe same Injector and adapter hats. Looking for some light, need this done asap. Thanks
