Turbo Exhaust Quietest one?
HKS Slient HiPower. I heard was near OEM sound quaility. Does anyone have this exhaust or can comment on it or another quiet exhaust? I want something that is pretty much stock sounding with good turbo air flow. Thanks
Current setup
3" downpipe > 3" highflow cat > 2.75" Y-Pipe (2 resonators on each split) > Dual HKS Hi-Power Exhausts
(aka LOUD)
I like being as sleeper as possible. =)

The only problem is that they dont sell just the muffler all I have seen is full piping exhaust. I want to keep my dual setup.
Youtube has some sound clips of it.
Also food for thought
Apex'i ATS "active" N1 muffler silencer.

btw more toys i found that might work.. this one is the most promising so far.!

Its a exhaust cut out. Basically works off of your boost pressure to open your exhaust to free flowing. Should only open on boost. Its kinda pricey but all reviews so far is say NO POWER LOSS. Which by its design shouldnt be any and I can go back to a exhaust thats straight sleeper. (stock with a tip lol)

Ive been wishing for a quiet exhaust ever since i did my dual 3 inch exhaust. It's not too loud, but sometimes i wish it was just quiet like a stock sc300. Ive recently been thinking about swapping my mufflers to the stock ones with the same exhaust setup. Or maybe go with some stock looking quiet mufflers.
maybe these?! I dont know how they sound though probably still loud

What makes the car exhaust loud is
1) Flow of air --- (bigger pipe bigger flow more sound)
2) Exhaust type --- (what materials are in it to lower sound)
3) Cats or not. --- (restriction is the best way to lower sound at a cost of power)
The only way that I have been researching to take care of this without losing power at the same time is... to run..
3" downpipe > Exhaust Cut Off i posted above > to highflow cat > to any stock exhaust.
The Cut Off will open only on boost where u need a FREE FLOWING system (which then be loud only on boost) Other than that it will run through your stock exhaust and be quiet as a sleeping bby off boost (crusing speed, idle, stoplight)
Now is this worth the $500 bucks tag they want for the Cut Off? Im really low on money so I dont know but after my BPU im hating this exhaust noise.

i dunno but mines doesn't have the cat, resenators and no radio and it's pretty quiet. i think it's got something to do w/ the muffler b/c i tried taking off the muffler than it got really loud, put it back on and super quiet that's until i hit boost then it'll get kinda loud. btw my pipings are SS.

I posted pics of my exhaust here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/3571028-post19.html
The mufflers are 5x9, 3" double offset, straight through, Vibrant Performance 1127s: http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/...et-In-Out-1127
Here's the exhaust pulled out showing the 4" to dual 3" piping and mufflers:
FWIW, a double offset muffler is required IMO to clear the rear sway bar while still keeping the muffler aligned and square in the OEM location.
This pic was taken from behind on a 10.46 pass at the strip:
The exhaust flows enough to make 850+ whp and sounds about as close to stock as you'll get. Cruising around town is very easy on the ears; there is very little sound in the passenger cabin. My car makes a little more noise at idle though because I'm running large cams and keep the idle above 1000 RPMs.

I like the Vibrant setup motorheaddown is running. I'm running Apexi WS2 universal turbo mufflers they are very quiet. I hear more W/G and turbo when WOT and I can hold a conversation on phone while cruising. Only downside is the canisters are very big and they had to be angled slightly down for install.
