What about the driveshaft? I'm assuming that the auto trans A340 driveshaft won't work, or will it? If it does, then awesome because I can save $300-400 on the swap I'm about to do

Cool. Now add the fixes for cruise control, power seat/tilt memory, O/D off light flashing, backup lights, and neutral safety bypass.

For both SC300 and SC400.

You need at least the front half of the 5spd driveshaft - at least for the W-58, dunno on the R-154.

I have been chasing the overheating, and doing body work, and fixing the POS Ford, so no interest in the other issues. I know how to fix the seat\tilt memory, but the cruise control still eludes me.

EDIT: Overheated not fixed, but has been compensated for with a 3 row Megan Racing radiator. Already had a new OEM radiator in there. What a waste to toss it...

Aren't a new differential and ECU also needed for the manual to auto swap?

My speedo stayed accurate - don't know why. ECU is not needed, but it's nice to not see the OD OFF light not flashing. An ECU is "needed" about as much as a 5 speed cluster.

The only reason to swap the differential would be for matching factory ratios. I still have my auto diff which I assume is original since my car was unmolested when I bought it.
