Is anyone using the auto. tranny from a 1J?
I have a 92 SC300 and wanted to know if swapping in an auto. 1J tranny would be easier and cheaper than building the stock A340E I have now? Would it be a direct swap or would I have to swap stuff off this and that to make it work?
Only need it to hold 350-400hp max.

I did some research on this and from what i gathered the 1jz tranny can be used on a 2jz-GE but you have to swap valve bodies/kick down cable and some other things over, but the advantage was the 1jz tranny had more clutch packs inside and therefore would hold more power (400whp)
I havent varified this but i have compared the casing and it looks identical and should easily swap over.
