Ignition - No dash lights, No Crank, No sound!
the ignition in my 1jz swapped sc300 stopped working the other day:
key in ignition, turn to acc - nothing, turn to start - nothing. there are no clicking sounds from the relay, no cranking or anything. i checked the fuses and they look fine. any other ideas? all of my lights work, the steering wheel position still moves, and the battery is under 5 months old.
i was looking at this:
http://www.lextreme.com/dx-starter.html
and saw the Anti-Deterrent ECU thing.. it sounded like that was my problem but it didnt work.
symptoms
-No Acc power
-no dash lights
-no radio/climate
-headlights/steering wheel tilt work
-no clicking relays
-no sounds at all
IGNITION CONTROL SWITCH?
neutral safety switch?

forgot to mention. i was driving to my buddies and ALL of the electronics turned off. maybe for half a second then came back up... headlights, radio, climate, dash.. everything but the engine. drove it to my friends. turned it off, left his house the next day, came home parked it. ran inside for awhile then tried to crank it again and nothing.

fished the keys out by pulling back the weather stripping around the window and grabbing it with a really thick grounding wire.
i figured out the problem though. i took the ignition switch out partically and turned it with my key.. and my dash lit up and the relays clicked. i think it has to be in the key column for it to start.. but atleast i got that far. just gota figure out why the key tumbler wont turn the switch...
i finnalllly pinpointed the problem for sure. the back of the key cylinder snapped off.
